Hailing from Cambridge, Md, Shamya always had a passion for photography. Taking portraits of family and friends was a past-time, that developed into something wonderful. She began her career as a photographer at Sears Portrait Studio and later at JC Penney Portrait Studio. In 2009, she decided to take the necessary action of starting her own business. Shamya always wanted to capture memories that would last a lifetime. Shamya has had the opportunities of capturing photos at BET's Black Girls Rock and BET Honors.

She is a freelance photographer in Maryland, Cambridge to be exact. Specializing in lifestyle and branding photography, event photography, couples (engagements, styled wedding shoots), model portfolios and portraits.
